Job Title: General Laborer – Water Restoration Technician

Job Overview:

We are a growing water restoration company seeking a motivated and reliable general laborer to assist with water damage restoration projects. As a General Laborer, you will be a key part of our team, helping with the cleanup, drying, and restoration of properties affected by water damage. You will assist our skilled technicians in removing water, cleaning up debris, and ensuring the site is prepared for further restoration work. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the water restoration and remediation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Water Extraction: Help with removing standing water from properties using pumps, wet vacuums, and other equipment.

  • Drying & Dehumidification: Assist with the setup and operation of drying and dehumidification equipment to prevent further water damage.

  • Clean-Up & Debris Removal: Remove damaged materials (such as carpets, drywall, insulation, and furniture) and clear debris from affected areas.

  • Equipment Handling: Set up and operate water restoration tools and equipment under supervision, ensuring they are used safely and effectively. 

  • Assist with Mold Remediation: Assist with the necessary cleanup to prevent further spread.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with lead technicians, project managers, and other team members to ensure efficient and effective job completion.

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with homeowners or business owners.

  • General Labor Support: Assist with other tasks as needed, including carrying equipment, prepping job sites, and supporting technicians during the restoration process.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy materials, bending, and standing for long periods.

  • Ability to Work in Various Environments: Comfortable working in potentially hazardous environments (e.g., flooded areas, areas with mold, etc.) while following safety procedures.

  • Reliable and Dependable: Punctual, responsible, and dedicated to completing tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior technicians.

  • Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of safety protocols and the importance of using personal protective equipment (PPE). 

  • Previous Experience (Preferred): Experience in general labor, construction, or similar fields is helpful but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: The role requires lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials, as well as working in potentially uncomfortable and hazardous conditions (e.g., wet or mold-affected areas).

  • Travel: Local travel to job sites is required. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.


Pay - $20-23/Hr Depending on Experience 

Required Qualifying Factors: 

·High School or Equivalent education  

**Candidates with any certifications(IICRC- WRT, ANSI, AMRT or related, etc.) pertaining to the above scope of work will be highly considered.

Must have a good driving record, valid license.
